I've injured myself, what should I do?

Your health comes first.

If you’ve injured yourself while taking part in The Push‑Up Challenge, the best thing to do is to stop and seek advice from a suitably qualified health professional. They’re the best person to assess your situation and guide you on what’s right for your body.

What are my options?

Depending on your injury and the advice you receive, you may be able to:
  • Switch to an alternative exercise that’s more suitable for your recovery
  • Take a break or rest period before continuing
  • Pause your participation and consider taking part again in a future Challenge
There’s no pressure to push through pain. Listening to your body and prioritising recovery is always the right call.

The Push‑Up Challenge is about supporting physical and mental wellbeing, not pushing yourself at the expense of your health. Whether you modify, pause, or come back another year, you’re still part of the push for better.
