I don’t want my name to be public or searchable

When you register for The Push‑Up Challenge, a public page is created so others can follow your progress and support your fundraising (if you choose to fundraise).

If you’d like to keep taking part — now or in future events — but don’t want your name to appear on search engines like Google, there are a couple of easy options.

Option 1: Change your display name (recommended)

A simple workaround is to update your display name to something less identifiable. Many participants choose to use:
  • Initials
  • A nickname
  • A pseudonym
This allows you to keep all the features of the Challenge, including the app, Teams, Communities, and sharing your page, without your full name being publicly searchable.

You can check out how to change your display name here: How do I change my personal details?

Once you’ve updated your display name, you’ll also want to update your page URL so it matches your new name.

You can check out how to edit your public page here: How can I edit my public page?

Option 2: Archive your account

If you don’t plan to take part in The Push‑Up Challenge again and would prefer your account to be removed from public view, we can archive your account for you.

Just get in touch and our support team will take care of it.
